Lovin' the kids

This morning we had fun with three of Emma's favorite boys. They were playing in a big bin of teddy bears, which provided an excellent photo op. I'm so glad I bring my camera with me every where!


OK... so I'm sure you are thinking... can there be any more pictures of Emma? These days she is really my only willing participant.

Missing my camera

I've been so busy lately and I am soooo missing taking photos. The only opportunity that I had today to take a few shots was while Em was in the tub.

Today we went to the ski shop to get a new ski suit for Jason for our big ski trip, and of course little miss found the pinkest hat ever!!! (In addition to pink ski goggles!).

Man it's cold...

I knew it was cold when it took me a full 5 minutes to get dressed to walk out to the side walk where the school bus drops Emma off. Not only did I wear the appropriate ski pants, mitts, touque, and scarf, but I wore leg warmers and two sweaters. The up side of it all is I got some great shots of the trees in the neighborhood. :)
Being up too early in the morning did have it's benefits this morning!

I didn't have a lot of time to take pictures today, so my little princess reluctantly posed on the floor. It's amazing how this camera even picks up the little divots in the cork floor.

Let me know what you think of these. I think they are so cool. It takes alot of shots to get the right movement but I think it is totally worth it.

Trial of shutter speeds

You would think I would have something better to do than sit in front of my kitchen sink experimenting with different shutter speeds to stop a drop of water!! This took me a gazillion shots to get it even close to right!

My first time trying the action feature...

Oh how I wish there was natural light in this room (and less plug ins and door knobs). I don't think I've ever captured a mid-giggle picture of Emma before. :) I think the picture would have turned out better if I had kept it on program mode and played with the iso settings, but it was fun trying!

I'm not sure what I think of this shot to tell the truth. But I like how it has a real sense of motion, which I have to admit was the "theme" of the day. Emma was totally revved up today!!

We have this wonderful pond behind our home. The first thing I wanted to do when I got my first camera was crawl around in snow that was past my knees just so I could get some shots. (I know I've totally lost my mind...)

My first attempt at blogging

Thanks to Noreen (and the 365 day photo challenge) I am sitting here at 10:15 pm writing my first blog. I'll attempt to upload one photo per day from the lovely new camera that Jason got me for christmas. I'm just starting out on this whole photography passion thing so you must bare with me.
