The Booties are FINALLY done!!!!!!
You may remember the shot that I took a long while back of the first bootie completed in this pair... I started knitting these for my new nephew back in November. Knowing that I am the worlds slowest knitter (mainly because I can't just pick up my needles and knit until a project is completed) I thought I would have tones of time. Well... baby has been here now for a good month and I have finally completed these!!! I think they turned out beautifully though!
And of course while I was taking the above shot Em needed to get into the action and took over the photo shoot!

Something's missing.
Before...
After...
Miguel de Cervantes said in 1605 "Every tooth in a man's head is more valuable than a diamond." Yes, but exactly how valuable does the tooth fairy consider my little one's Central Incisor??? I would love to know the history of the tooth fairy. I've heard many the argument for and against the tooth fairy, but I can't stop thinking about my childhood memories of the tooth fairy. Ohh the excitement. It made all the craziness of losing a tooth go away... So tonight the tooth fairy will indeed be traveling to our home. If anything, it sure made bed time easy tonight. :)

Couple of shots
OK... It think I'm going to have to change this to the 350 day challenge! Things have been so crazy lately, but life is starting to settle down now so I'm back on the challenge. I just got my copy of the book exposure so I'm looking forward to learning more!
Here is a shot of my Dad. :)

Wildfire is an essential part of life
I found this forest of burnt trees by accident (or was it an accident?) when I was skiing. It was such a starch contrast to the world around it that I had to stop and spend some time there. While I was looking around (up to my thighs in snow) I was reminded of a lecture that I attending in university about the importance of wildfires. The professor was teaching us that burnt trees are an essential part of a healthy forest and it made me think of the "wildfires" that we often have in our own lives. It was Epictetus who said "Every difficulty in life presents is with an opportunity to turn inward and to invoke our own submerged inner resources. The trials we endure can and should introduce us to our strengths."

I am so grateful for the opportunity to witness and learn from nature.

Posting from Sunshine Village in Banff
I've actually had an opportunity to take alot of pictures, most of which with my point and shoot camera (which I forgot to bring my connection wires to upload my photos from my camera... urgh!). I've been too chicken to go up on the ski hills with my slr camera but I may have to get up the courage tomorrow. Here are a couple that I have taken with my slr...

A visit with my favorite family
This morning my little girl and I went over to the crazy household of the Elliott's. They have three little boys and one very cute dog. Seriously! I have One child and have a hard time keeping it all together. But three!!! My friend is one of the best Mom's I know and I feel so honored to have them in my life.
